What will I be doing?
As the Director of Sales, you will lead a portfolio of Hilton Sales accounts; you will identify, develop, and lead accounts to drive revenue and incremental market share growth. In this role, the Director will be responsible for identifying, developing, and maintaining account ownership. In addition, you will have the opportunity to drive performance through internal and external development. More specifically, you will:
- Guide the overall account planning strategy for your accounts to facilitate growth.
- Aggregate client account-based growth data and evaluate areas of opportunity.
- Model account-based trends on a weekly, monthly, and annual basis, compare data with previous years' results, and forecast future account-based growth rates.
- Qualify accounts and maintain compliance to account governance protocol.
- Ensure the client’s day-to-day needs are met while identifying viable opportunities to improve operational and financial performance through targeted initiatives.
- Collaborate with Hilton Direct Partnership Team Members and Hilton Worldwide Sales Specialists to drive total account value and provide total client solutions.
- Serve as a subject matter expert in all brands and close the sale with clients.
- Provide accurate forecasting and delivery of monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue targets.
- Anticipate client needs and develop a strategy that is tailored to each client.
- Support Hilton Direct Leadership in providing account-specific coaching activities to increase sales and optimally use the organization's CRM program.
- Generate leads and mine opportunities within existing accounts to drive incremental revenue.
- Network with business decision-makers and executives to influence positive buying behaviors.
- Understand industry trends that impact customer buying behaviors and offer innovative solutions.

Requirements
What are we looking for? We believe the success in this role will demonstrate itself through the following attributes and skills:
- Strong customer service and communication skills (verbal, written)
- Employing diplomacy with high-level executives and customers within the organization on a global scale
- Critical thinking and both quantitative and qualitative analytics skills with the ability to use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths/weaknesses of alternative and differentiated solutions, conclusions, or ideas to a problem
- Strong consultation skills to improve value for internal and external partners
- Self-starter, well organized, extremely detailed, willing to take ownership of responsibilities, and possess a high level of positive energy and drive
- Complete discretion and confidentiality regarding critical information
To fulfill this role successfully, you should demonstrate the following minimum qualifications:
- Ten (10) years of professional experience
- Five (5) years of account management or supervisory experience
- Experience analyzing data and making data-centric recommendations
- Knowledge of the hospitality travel industry
- 40% travel time (average)
It would be useful in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:
- BA/BS Bachelors Degree
- Ten (10) years of sales experience
- Experience maintaining national and or global accounts
- In-depth knowledge and use in Delphi or similar property sales management system
- Experience using SFDC
