Employment Status: This is a temporary, possible temp-to-hire role. The assignment is expected to last a minimum of 6 months, though it will likely extend longer.Role OverviewOperational Leadership: Has overall responsibility for the day-to-day operation of the production plant.Team Management: Will lead a team of about 10 indirect reports and 3-4 direct reports.Scheduling: Responsible for shifts and schedules of production personnel.Performance: Manage and evaluate the performance of production staff; cultivate and communicate needs for staffing labor plan adjustments to meet production objectives.Quality & Delivery: Assures that safe and cost-effective methods are employed to meet company quality standards, cost objectives, and client delivery schedules. Ensures orders are completed on time.Budgeting: Manages production budgets at or below agreed limits.Reporting: Ensure daily and monthly production performance metrics are tracked and shared with the Vice President.Safety: Makes certain the safe operation of equipment in accordance with recognized safety protocols.Compliance: Assures that all manufacturing procedures conform to the quality system and standards.Continuous Improvement: Takes part in and initiates projects to improve the efficiency and/or quality of products manufactured.
