Description
The Senator John Heinz History Center, the largest history museum in Pennsylvania and an affiliate of the Smithsonian Institution, is seeking a Full-time Housekeeper.
The Housekeeper is responsible for all activities related to the cleanliness of the facility including care of bathrooms, floor care (mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, carpet scrubbing), dusting, wall care, and daily refuge. Perform duties required for the efficient and effective operation of the facility.
This is a full-time position reporting to the Chief of Operations.
Qualifications
High school education or equivalent with minimum of two years of housekeeping experience.
Excellent organizational and communication skills required. The job requires the ability to be both a multi-team player as well as function independently with a lot of self-motivation. This position is physically demanding requiring extensive, lifting, bending, walking, and standing. The job also requires the ability for an attention to detail and the ability to notice what must be done without be told. The successful candidate will possess a love for cleaning and an eye for detail. Must be available to work weekends and holidays.
