This role is responsible for performing a variety of complex engineering assignments requiring in-depth knowledge of a specific engineering discipline plus an understanding of related disciplines to cost effectively achieve objectives. Assignments typically require the use of advanced and innovative techniques. Proactively seek and implement initiatives to improve operations and increase customer satisfaction. Your Responsibilities: Perform regular distribution or power transformer design per customer's specifications by using Hitachi Energy design tools. Prepare documentation for other departments like the mechanical department, purchasing, sales, manufacturing, testing, etc. Order materials for the transformer production. Follow-up on manufacturing of approved designs and customer service. Plan, conduct, coordinate and develop recommendations using advanced engineering concepts and processes. Analyze new proposals, requirements, specifications, and products. Your background: Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering and a minimum of 2 years of experience in transformer design or research, including transformer manufacture support and customer service skills. Candidate must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States. Design experience with Distribution or power transformers. Design experience with industrial power products. Experience in the following tools is required: Microsoft Office (Excel, word, power point, etc.), Auto-CAD.
