JOB SUMMARY:
The General Construction Division is looking for a Construction Superintendent for current and upcoming project needs across San Antonio who will support and oversee project efforts by providing project oversight, coordinating schedules, collaborating with PM's, reviewing budgets, material ordering and management, and overseeing job completion.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develops a schedule and cost-effective plan for completion of an assigned project.
- Keeps track of of material stock and orders.
- Coordinates and schedules the work activities of tradespeople, professionals, and laborers, communicating to and via project foreperson to deliver instructions and project assignments as appropriate.
- Regularly inspects work for quality and timeliness; prepares and provides progress reports to owners and architects; makes recommendations for necessary modifications.
- Plan inspections and obtain construction permits from local authorities.
- Ensures specifications and regulations outlined in architectural and engineering plans are followed.
- Reviews budget throughout the project with PM.
- Maintains records related to daily activities, manpower and required reports.
- Addresses any safety violations or other deficiencies.
- Collaborates with management to answer questions and clarify procedures.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS:
- 1-2 years of experience as a Construction Superintendent or in a similar role
- Knowledge of local quality, safety, and health guidelines for a construction job sites
- In-depth understanding of construction processes and operations
- Proficiency in MS Office and CAD software
