The Opportunity:

Dive into the dynamic world of Hamilton Lane’s Enterprise Technology team as a Technical Project Manager within our growing Technology Project Management Office. We are seeking an experienced project manager with a passion for excellence and a talent for integrating diverse project methodologies. Your role will be pivotal in bridging business needs with innovative solutions, ensuring that every initiative is tailored for success. Your responsibilities will be to:

  • Steer critical technology projects from inception through execution to warranty, including new implementations, optimizations, and app development
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to align projects with organizational objectives, strategizing on scope, deliverables, MVP, and success metrics
  • Forge strong connections with stakeholders to gather comprehensive requirements, translating business needs into practical project plans
  • Proactively identify and implement process enhancements, ensuring the smooth integration of new technologies with existing frameworks and systems
  • Vigilantly track project progress, optimize cost, manage risks, and adapt strategies to guarantee project success
  • Conduct Agile ceremonies, including Daily Stand-Ups, Sprint Planning, Retrospectives, and Sprint Reviews and Demos for your teams.
  • Keep project documentation up to date in UA business systems like Confluence and JIRA, also responsible for creating project monitoring tools like Dashboards and Risk logs to avoid project pitfalls
  • Oversee vendor relations and expectations for third-party implementations and enhancements
  • Champion project management best practices, contributing to the growth and refinement of the PMO

Your background and skills will include:

  • 4 years working within a technical project management function
  • 3 years of experience with modern project management tooling (Monday, MS Project, Jira, Miro, etc.)
  • 3 years of experience managing internal/external project timelines and roadmaps
  • 3 years of experience working with various project methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, hybrid, etc.)
  • Project Management and/or Agile Certifications preferred: PMI-PMP (Project Management Professional), PMI-ACP (Agile Certified Practitioner), PMI-RMP (Risk Management Professional), CAL 1, CAL 2 (Certified Agile Leadership)
  • Demonstrated ability to manage project timelines, roadmaps, and deliverables effectively
  • Proven track record of successfully deploying technology to large user bases (500 end users)
  • Exceptional time management, interpersonal, and organization skills
  • Understanding of cloud technologies (MS Azure & AWS) and their application in business solutions
  • Familiar with data warehouse development, cloud and network infrastructure and vendor management ecosystems
  • Proficiency in software dependency management across technology stacks, for example middleware services (API’s), web, and native applications.
  • Understanding of AI technologies such as regression, tokenization, OCR, and integrated deployment solutions such as MS Azure Cognitive Services
  • Strong experience in facilitating change and accelerating technology adoption
  • Experience in Financial Services or Private Markets preferred
