What are the responsibilities and job description for the School Psychologist position at HOCKINSON SCHOOL DISTRICT?
Washington State ESA certification as a school psychologist plus a masters degree in school psychology and/or counseling.Prefer experience providing consultation /counseling services at the pre-school, primary, middle and/or high school levels and experience in parent training.Must be familiar with State of Washington rules and regulations for programs providing services to children with handicapping conditions.Experience working with IEP online preferred.Prefer experience with curriculum-based assessment techniques.Previous experience in school psychology, counseling, special education or classroom teaching, preferred.Must provide own transportation.Must possess a valid drivers license.Ability to work cooperatively with students and their parents who are culturally, racially, and linguistically diverse.Knowledge, willingness to learn, or experience working with ELL students, preferred.Energy and enthusiasm in working with students with disabilities.Knowledge in, or willingness to learn, computerized instructional technology.Ability to relay humor and positive regard to students and colleagues.Willingness to participate in staff development courses aligned with the school and district initiatives.
