What are the responsibilities and job description for the BMW Shop Foreman position at Hoffman Auto Group?
Overview:
Ensure safe, efficient, ethical vehicle repairs, with customer satisfaction as first priority. Assist Service Manager with technical aspects of service department, such as technician evaluations, quality control and troubleshooting.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain ASE and/or manufacturer-required certifications; stay up to date with all manufacturer technical data as well as service bulletins. Ensure compliance with all safety and OSHA regulations that pertain to your job.
Maintain shop equipment and tools, recommend purchase, replacement or repair as needed to the Manager. Ensure tech computers are updated as required.
Train new employees up to and including Flat-rate status. Ensure Technicians complete all new online training modules. Assist and train Technicians with troubleshooting as needed.
Read and understand customer complaints; diagnose and advise findings; complete all authorized repairs in accordance with manufacturer and company policy; return warranty parts to parts dept and road test vehicles as needed to verify completion of repairs. Road test with customers in order to accurately identify customer complaints or verify vague/difficult to diagnose concerns.
Assist in interview process for new Technicians.
Collaborate with Service Manager to schedule required Technician manufacturers training, taking into consideration company expense, work schedule & vacation schedules
- High School Diploma
1-2 years’ experience in a customer service orientated environment preferred
Can adapt and embrace change with an internal and external customer centric mindset
Act as an advocate for teammates and have a strong commitment to technology advancement
Possesses effective communication skills: oral, written, listening.
Works well with customers, promotes a positive image of the company, strives to solve issues raised by customers.
