Hoffman Security is a 44-year-old alarm company based in Merced, CA that is actively expanding operations here in Fresno County. We are currently ranked #59 in the SDM Top 100 of Alarm Companies Nationwide. With burglaries, property crimes and home invasions on the rise across the Central Valley, the security industry is one part of the economy that continues to grow at a steady pace.

We are actively seeking Security Consultants who will be responsible for helping grow our residential and commercial business in the Fresno/Clovis area market. In turn, you have the opportunity to earn a substantial income with base salary plus commission.

If you work well in a pay-for-performance environment, then you have the opportunity to excel in this position. Any business-to-business sales experience is a plus. We have an excellent training program to get you up to speed on the security industry and products. We also provide marketing materials and advertise to generate some company-provided leads.

Responsibilities

  • Provide Peace of Mind to local residents and business-owners by offering the latest in state-of-the-art security products, backed by a local company that stands behind our name.
  • Prospect and generate leads by a variety of methods and convert company generated leads to sales.
  • Meet with home and business owners and custom-design a security solution.
  • Utilize your skill set to help reassure customer is making the best decision by going with Hoffman Security. Cross sell and up sell if circumstances warrant.
  • Complete paperwork with customer, assuring all of the forms are filled-out properly.
  • Work with Operations Department and Sales Assistant to schedule installation and process paperwork.
  • Follow up with customer to ensure satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with Sales Manager to determine necessary strategic sales approaches
  • Work all referral leads from satisfied customers.
  • Enter customer data and update changes to existing accounts in the database
  • Utilize windows PC job templates to generate bids on projects.

Requirements

Education

  • High school degree or equivalent

Skills

  • Must be a people-person
  • Excellent in communication and the art of negotiation
  • Effective in time and activity management
  • Motivated, self-starter who is persistent and will not quit when you hear the word "No"
  • Able to be a creative thinker to provide best possible solutions for your customers
  • Willing to stay current on the latest technologies in the Security Industry, including Home Automation, Cellular Communication, Surveillance Cameras, Smartphone Control, etc.
  • Experience with MS Word, Excel, Outlook, Android and iOS is a plus.

Other

  • Must have a valid CA drivers' license
  • Must have reliable transportation with adequate insurance
  • Must be able to pass a background check with Live Scan
  • Must be able to work a full-time, but flexible, schedule. Think like an entrepreneur!
  • Available for local travel, possibly nights and weekends to accommodate the prospective customers' availability

Compensation and Benefits:

Hoffman Security offers a competitive base plus commission structure with unlimited earning potential. We also offer a monthly draw of $2,000.00, a car/fuel allowance, cell phone, a full benefits package, 401K with matching at 150%, up to 15% total (6% Employee and 9% Employer) and a profit-sharing program. Even drive a company car with qualifying sales!

Salary: $50,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
