The Senior Maintenance Technician plays a critical role in maintaining and improving facility operations by providing expert-level troubleshooting, repair, and mentorship across a wide range of mechanical and electrical systems. This individual is trusted with high-impact tasks and supports both day-to-day uptime and long-term equipment reliability in a self-directed, collaborative manner. Ideal for a highly skilled professional who enjoys teaching others and solving complex technical problems independently.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Advanced Troubleshooting & Repair
- Diagnose and repair issues involving motors, pumps, and mixers powered by 24V, 120V, and 480V/3-phase electrical systems.
- Rebuild and refurbish pumps and other mechanical components.
- Use multimeters and megohmmeters to check motor windings and insulation resistance.
- Identify and resolve issues within steam and heating systems, including controls and plumbing tied to electroplating tanks.
- Fabricate mechanical assemblies or brackets using basic welding, cutting, or machining tools when required.
- Preventive & Predictive Maintenance
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance with a focus on critical utilities such as compressed air, steam, and heat systems.
- Support condition-based monitoring (e.g., vibration, thermal inspection) to proactively resolve potential failures.
- Mentorship & Team Development
- Assist in developing junior technicians through on-the-job training and knowledge sharing.
- Demonstrate leadership through initiative, reliability, and commitment to team success.
- Work Coordination & Documentation
- Execute and document maintenance activities using the company’s CMMS system.
- Provide clear status updates, root cause analyses, and corrective action documentation.
- Independent problem solver capable of managing technical tasks without constant supervision.
- Approachable, collaborative, and effective at supporting less-experienced teammates.
- Maintains a strong safety mindset and adheres to all regulatory and facility standards.
- Adaptable to changing priorities in a fast-paced industrial environment.

- 5 years of industrial maintenance experience, ideally within a manufacturing or electroplating facility.
- Strong expertise in electrical systems including 480V/3-phase, control circuits, and motor diagnostics.
- Mechanical aptitude with demonstrated experience in pump rebuilding, pipefitting, and fabrication.
- Familiarity with steam systems, boilers, or tank heating applications is highly preferred.
- Experience using a CMMS for tracking maintenance activities and spare parts.
- Ability to read schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
- High School diploma or GED required; technical certifications or trade school education is a plus.
