What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Head Housekeeper position at Holiday Inn Express & Suites St. George North-Zion?
Reports to the Head Housekeeper/Assistant General Manager/General Manager and supervises housekeeping operations and employees. Housekeeping operations include rooms, laundry, public areas, department storage areas and work areas. Maintain level of cleanliness of hotel and service provided by housekeeping. Enforce policies, procedures and standards as established by the brand and company. Assistant head housekeeper will maintain a schedule of cleaning rooms 3 days a week and acting as Head Housekeeper 2 days per week.
- Assists with scheduling staff according to forecasted occupancy
- Assists with training and development of employees in conjunction with Head Housekeeper/Assistant General Manager.
- Maintain departmental communications through effective use of staff meetings, log books and bulletin boards.
- Maintain room cleanliness and quality. Conducts daily inspections of cleaned rooms under the direction of the Head Housekeeper.
- Monitors and maintains level of cleanliness in rooms, suites, storage areas, laundry, rest rooms and public areas.
- Provides employees with adequate supplies and operating equipment.
- Maintain inventory levels and par stock and report to Head Housekeeper.
- Perform other duties and special projects assigned by the HH/AGM/GM.
- May be required to work nights, weekends and holidays.
