Housekeeping Supervisor

As Lead Housekeeper you will be in charge of both our Laundry and Room attendant team 2 days a week, the other 3 days a week you will work along side the Housekeeping manager. It is your responsibility to inspect hotel rooms and public areas to make sure your team is always finishing their tasks correctly according to IHG Brand Standards.

Essential Functions:

• Coach, and supervise employees in the housekeeping and laundry departments.
• Achieve labor goals as established by budget and forecast.
• Prepare and conduct timely and accurate performance reviews with staff.
• Assist with monthly employee meetings.
• Conduct regular inspections of the hotel and rooms to ensure adherence to cleanliness and maintenance standards.
• Perform beginning of month inventory of all guest supplies and linen; order supplies as necessary.

· Assist all housekeeping and laundry departments in securing supplies and tools necessary for the completion of their jobs.

· Prepare daily and weekly inspections of guestrooms and daily walk-through of public area’s to ensure standards are being met.

• Assist with establishing a schedule and plan daily work assignments.
• Respond to guest questions and resolve complaints promptly.
• Maintain and organize lost and found.
• Ensure effective communication between front desk and housekeeping.
• Demonstrate positive leadership characteristics.
• Ensure all guests are greeted
• Maintain a high standard of excellence throughout the hotel.
• Keep work area neat and organized
• Conduct self in a professional manner at all times
• Maintain a safe working environment and immediately report all unsafe conditions.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of one year housekeeping and laundry experience required, one year supervisory experience preferred.

· Organize and prioritize to meet deadlines.

· Work with minimal supervision.

· Maintain a professional appearance at all times.

· Work as part of a team.

· Communicate effectively.

· Receive and follow both verbal and written instructions.

· Work well under pressure.

· Work any day of the week and any hour.
