What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dishwasher/Steward position at Holiday Inn Hammond, LA?
Holiday Inn Hammond currently has an opening for Dishwasher/Stewards, for both morning and evening shifts. We have hours available!! This position also sets up and cleans meeting rooms for events, and may assist the Cook as needed. Hours vary per week based upon need. The restaurant is open for breakfast daily, with dinner and bar service Monday - Saturday evenings. Catered events vary based upon weekly bookings.
Duties include, but are not limited to the following:
- Clean all dishes and cooking items used during shift; Store all items in appropriate areas
- Sweep and mop kitchen and restaurant at the end of each shift
- Empty all trash from kitchen and restaurant, and place in dumpster for removal
- Set up tables and chairs, linens, AV equipment as needed in meeting rooms for events
- Ensure that meeting rooms are cleaned and vacuumed prior to each event
- Assist Cook with any prep work that may be needed
- Perform other duties as assigned
The rate of pay for this position is $8.50 per hour, with opportunity for occasional tips as well!
