The Project Manager manages multiple large-scale millwork projects, coordinating and managing all necessary resources from start-up through closeout. The responsibilities include scheduling, managing budgets and costs, mitigating risks, ensuring contract compliance, overseeing general work performance, and ensuring high-quality standards are met.
- Manage multiple large-scale millwork projects, coordinating and managing all necessary resources from start-up through closeout, including scheduling, budgets, costs, risk management, contract compliance, general work performance, and quality.
- Set up and manage projects in the operations system, ensuring the proper creation of work orders, labor and material budgets, and schedules.
- Plan, organize, and direct activities within the Project Team, assigning responsibilities, tasks, and priorities to meet project requirements.
- Create and maintain job schedules while monitoring and controlling construction through the administrative direction of on-site management.
- Prepare project status reports weekly by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information trends, presenting reports at weekly Projects Meeting, and developing action plans with Project Teams to investigate and resolve variances, issues, and risk areas.
- Make weekly Cost to Complete (CTC) entries in the operations system for material, labor, and general condition overruns and submit CTC to the Accounting team monthly.
- Confer with installation teams, owners, contractors, or design professionals to discuss and resolve work procedures, complaints, or construction problems.
- Manage project execution and monitor budget, scope, and schedule adherence.
Qualifications:
- Strong organizational skills.
- Understand the importance of collaboration with all team members, General Contractors, Vendors, and Clients.
- Ability to work independently with a high degree of follow-through to ensure customers receive quality and accuracy.
- Strong comprehension of the means and methods for the engineering, fabrication, finishing and installation of architectural millwork.
- Completion of a two (2) to four (4) year certificate program from a college or technical school, and at least five (5) years of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong knowledge and experience in the construction and woodworking industry.
- Strong knowledge and experience in project management methodology.
- Strong knowledge and experience with AWS, QCP, FSC, and LEED programs and requirements.
