This professional works directly with customers and peers to facilitate installation, integration, operation, and maintenance of various systems. Responsibilities:
- Install low voltage systems; cabling, terminating equipment and installing components such as wall plates, speakers, cameras, and screens.
- Install and document cable plant designs in support of complex and large-scale Audio/Video and IT projects in Custom Residential environments.
- Install and troubleshoot network components; switches, routers, wireless access points.
- Install, integrate and program home automation control systems.
- Provide support, troubleshoot and repair equipment, networks and associated low voltage systems and components.
Requirements
Must have a minimum of three (3) years experienceUnderstanding of audio, alarm, fire, and lighting systems; and overall home automation or the ability to learn.
- Proficiency with the installation and troubleshooting of network components: switches, routers, wireless access points.
- Experience with integration and set up of systems in a custom residential environment is a plus.
- Savant, ELAN, RTI, Crestron, Lutron, AMX or other programming a plus.
- Customer service oriented- ability to educate clients on systems using simple instructions and maintain a positive relationship with clients on a continual basis.
- Ability to read and interpret blue prints, schematics, instructions, and other technical documentation.
- Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
