Holmdel Veterinary Clinic is an independently owned doctor practice currently seeking an experienced veterinary technician. A minimum of 2 years prior experience as a veterinary technician is required to be considered for the available opening.
Salary commensurate by experience and skill set.
Holmdel Veterinary Clinic is an exclusively fast growing small animal practice that specializes in providing high quality, compassionate and convenient care for our patients. As a full service practice, we provide wellness and sick examinations, immunizations, surgery and dentistry, digital radiography, and in house laboratory and pharmacy services. We recognize the importance of the relationships between humans and animals and view our clients and patients as extended family.
Position Requirements
- Ability to work as a team player and maintain a professional relationship with coworkers
- Exceptional organizational skills, possess the ability to multi task, and perform assignments efficiently under pressure
- Triage; routine and ER visits. Accurate knowledge of vital parameters
- Client education
- Venipuncture, IV catheter placement
- Surgical preparation and equipment expertise as well as maintenance
- Anesthesia monitoring and surgical assistance
- Dental prophylaxis
- Idexx laboratory protocols and in-house analyzer usage
- Strong expertise of vaccinations and general guidelines
- Pharmacology and expertise of all available HW and F/T medications
- Digital radiology
- Proper restraint techniques
- Ability to relate with customers in a friendly and welcoming manner as well as field a variety of medical questions and requests from clients
- Avimark knowledge a plus
