General Statement of Function
Performs a variety of administrative and staff support duties for the District, which require a range of skills and a routine knowledge of organizational policies and procedures.
Sunday 5-9 pm; Monday 9-5; Tuesday and Wednesday 2-9; Thursday 9-1; Friday virtual.
Job Description
- Assists and instructs patrons in the use of library materials, equipment, and facilities.
- Provides superior customer service and works effectively in a team environment.
- Assist in processing all new materials for library.
- Uses library software to complete circulation and reference tasks.
- Works with the organization and shelving of physical library resources.
- Maintains and completes inventory of physical library resources.
- Keeps a tidy and organized library environment.
- Operates and maintains basic office equipment.
- Supervises student workers as needed.
- Performs other miscellaneous duties as assigned.
Qualifications
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Associate degree preferred
or
High school diploma or GED; at least 2-3 years of experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Adept in communication skills, both orally and in writing.
- Intermediate to mastery proficiency of Microsoft Office.
- Proficient in the processing and completion of information requests.
- Professional demeanor and punctuality.
- Ability to navigate the internet and web-based databases.
- Ability to use a numerical organizational system to shelve and locate books.
- Understanding of the latest technology for researching.
- Ability to maintain inventory of equipment.
- Set up computer, projector, and other basic technologies for staff and visitors.
- Word processing and/or data entry skills.
- Skilled in the use of operating basic office equipment.
- Superior organizational and coordination skills.
