Holocene Drilling is a growing, ~$10M in revenue private-equity-backed company specializing in geotechnical drilling services and environmental drilling services. The company is investing in professionalizing its operations and providing opportunities for development of each of the team members. As Project Manager, you will be responsible for providing dynamic leadership to both office and field teams, ensuring a positive and productive workplace culture. This role involves overseeing all aspects of the organization's drilling operations, including strategy development, personnel management, financial oversight, and the implementation of best practices to optimize performance and safety. This is a hands-on, high-impact role where you will lead financial management, develop and oversee KPIs, and contribute to a strong, customer-focused culture within the business.


Job Summary: The position is a combination of General Manager and Geotechnical and Environmental Project Manager.

  • Provides training, mentors staff, promotes safety and innovation
  • Daily interaction with engineers and clients to provide competitive estimates
  • Develops budgets, project estimates for and schedules with appropriate drill rigs, support equipment and staff
  • Ensures compliance with industry standards and technical guidelines
  • Supervises drilling manager and support staff (mechanics, welders, etc)
  • Implement technical solutions for challenging ground conditions
  • Identifies and pursues new business opportunities and clients
  • Develops relationships with stakeholders and industry partners
  • Prepares proposals, presentations, and bids for projects
  • Coordinates marketing campaigns and branding initiatives
  • Oversees all aspects of operations, strategy, personnel, and financial oversight


Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Proven experience in preferably in the geotechnical/environmental drilling industry
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills able to relate to a diverse group of clients, vendors, employees and stakeholders
  • Proven success in business development, account management, and client satisfaction
  • Strong analytical abilities and commercial awareness
  • Strong organizational skills, including time management, delegation, prioritization, and multitasking
  • Demonstrated aptitude for strategic thinking and problem-solving
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, target-driven environment
  • Integrity, resilience, and a relentless drive for success

Salary : $90,000 - $110,000
