Position Overview:
Assists in the development of menus and orders food as needed. Prepares, cooks, and serves food according to menus. Cleans work area, dishes, utensils, and equipment.
Responsibilities:
- Assists in the development of menus and monitors food supply needs.
- Assists in determination of food quantities required for meals and maintains inventory.
- Prepares food/cooks soups, gravies, desserts, sauces and casseroles, meats, fish, vegetables, etc, using appropriate methods.
- Regularly tests and documents food temperatures to determine proper cooking time. Carves meat and serves food.
- Keeps kitchen area clean and sanitary; washes pots, pans, and utensils; cleans stoves, counter tops and cabinets, refrigerators and freezers.
- Ability to work in a team.
- Very good communication skills
- Performs other duties within the individual’s capabilities as assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications
- HS/GED
- 2 years related experience.
- SERVSafe Certification preferred.
- Ability to appropriately interact with vulnerable population.
- Assist in Meal planning, cooking, and maintain inventory.
- Lifting of food containers up to 50lbs, standing, sitting,
- Meet State Good Moral Character guidelines.
- Valid and Current Driver’s License with acceptable driving record.
Salary : $15
