Holy Innocents Episcopal School (HIES) is seeking an Upper School Business & Economics Teacher for the 2024-2025 academic year. HIES is the largest Episcopal Parish day school in the country, offering a fully accredited college preparatory program for students age three through 12th grade. HIES is located north of downtown Atlanta between I-75 and GA 400.
Skills and Abilities
- Experience teaching business, economics, social studies or history in the upper grades.
- Excellent organization, presentation and communication skills.

Typical Duties
- Instruct five sections of business/economics or social studies classes in grades 9-12.
- Deliver lesson plans and monitor student performance.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance instructional activities and environment.
- Update and maintain student academic records and performance metrics.
- Communicate regularly with parents, students and colleagues regarding student progress.
Educational and Other Requirements
- Bachelors Degree required. A Masters degree in education is preferred.
- Prior experience teaching grades 9-12.
- Successful completion of pre-employment background screening, drug testing and safety training required.
