Holy Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Marietta, GA, the 2nd largest ELCA congregation in the four-state ELCASoutheastern Synod is seeking a dynamic individual with a heart for ministry to join our team as the Facilities Manager. This is a 16-hour part time position. Pay is $19.00 to $20.00 an hour.
Qualified applicants need to possess the following experience and skill sets for managing a commercial property:
- Strong contract negotiation skills and experience with vendors for new and existing contracts, managing vendors in support of facilities and grounds maintenance, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, custodial, facility, appliance, and landscaping contractors.
- Motivated self-starter with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Maintain and improve church amenities to support a positive work environment and worship experience.
- Manage on-site vendors including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, custodial, facility, appliance, and landscaping contractors.
- Perform routine operational support for Holy Trinity Lutheran Church related activities as well as providing light maintenance duties and minor repairs to the church facilities and grounds as designated. The staff position serves to support the overall Property Committee mission of HTLC.
- Proficient in Outlook, Word, and Excel software.
- Enhance the attractiveness of the internal and external church buildings and grounds.
- Ability to perform basic facility repairs and grounds maintenance.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, work independently and be proactive with moderate supervision.
- Ability to multitask and provide operational support for scheduled events, setting up chairs and tables, audio video equipment setup, and other equipment in support of worship services, meetings, and ministry functions.
- Physically fit and able to lift and carry items up to 50 pounds, work from a ladder, kneel, squat and stand to perform duties.
- Must have access to own transportation.
- Adult, Child and Infant Basic Life Support (BLS) training and certification preferred.
Normal working hours are 16 hours per week during church office hours Monday thru Friday with occasional additional hours as required by the church to aid in set-up or clean-up for a special event.
