What are the responsibilities and job description for the Family Systems Clinician position at Home Base Collaborative Family Counseling?
Family System Clinicians work with families receiving Home Based Therapy (HBT) and Individual Service Option (ISO) services.
Provide psychoeducation and therapeutic counseling to individuals and families on topics related to stress management, substance use / misuse, effective communication, co-parenting, behavior management and positive discipline strategies, and underlying challenges that have contributed to current court involvement.
Job Functions:
- Provides therapeutic counseling to child and family members, which may include individual or family counseling, in order to support family members in reaching their treatment goals.
- Case management, treatment planning, and service coordination
- Assessment and service planning based on the DCYF case plan or pre-dispositional investigation report and ongoing assessment for each child enrolled in the program
- Provides counseling in effective family interaction and parenting, that may include: anger and behavior management, batterer intervention, collaborative problem solving, child discipline alternatives, maintaining family and child safety, positive parenting and communication household management; including, budgeting and nutrition and Substance Use Disorder
- Provides referrals to and assistance in accessing other community resources
- Provides assistance to parents in monitoring their child by tracking school attendance, enforcement of curfews and compliance with court orders
- Crisis assistance to stabilize families by responding immediately to a family’s needs
- Collaboration, communication and coordination with families, colleagues, and collaterals
- Maintains necessary assessments and documentation in accordance with funding sources
- Attendance at all required meetings and hearings
Requirements:
- Completed master’s degree in a related field plus two years’ direct work experience with children, youth, and families OR
- Completed bachelor’s degree in a related field plus five years direct work experience with children, youth, and families
- Knowledge and experience in child development, family therapy skills, working with children and families at risk and accessing community resources
- Knowledge and experience in working with people of different cultures, sexual orientations, gender identities, religions and socio-economic backgrounds
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
- Computer and database skills
- Flexibility in scheduling (able to work limited nights and weekends).
- Must have own vehicle, current New Hampshire Driver’s License, and automobile

Pay: $45,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
