What are the responsibilities and job description for the Local Route Delivery Driver position at Home City Ice?
This job is one of the ultimate jobs for college students trying to make as much income as possible before heading back to school in the fall. This job is a physical labor job and will require a strong work ethic but is something hundreds of college students have done and succeeded at in the past. We do not require a CDL but we will help you obtain one if interested (makes the job a whole lot easier).
Route Delivery Driver
- Deliver to local convenience stores, gas stations, large grocery stores, and various other customers.
- Average of 15 deliveries a day
- Delivery drivers are responsible for invoicing and basic communication/interaction with the customer
- The ideal candidate is a competitive person with an outgoing personality whose willing to work until the job is done.
No experience needed- we train!!
- Must be at least 18 years old
- CDL license not required- we provide paid training to get one!
- Must have a clean driving record and ability to pass a pre-employment background check and DOT physical.
- Comfortably able to lift 50lbs repeatedly
Requirements:
- Ability to repetitively lift and move product in quantities of 7lb and 20lb
- Ability to maneuver a loaded buggy in and out of customer stores
