Duties
- Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, grooming, and dressing.
- Provide meal preparation and ensure proper nutrition for clients.
- Administer medication as prescribed and maintain accurate medical documentation.
- Support clients with mobility and physical exercises as needed.
- Offer companionship and engage clients in meaningful conversations or activities.
- Assist with dementia care, providing specialized support for individuals with cognitive impairments.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by performing light housekeeping tasks.
- Communicate effectively with healthcare providers and family members regarding client needs and progress.
Requirements
- 6 months of experience in home care or as a Personal Care Assistant.
- Ability to read, write, and speak English clearly
- Ability to pass a background check
- A heart for compassionate, high-quality in-home care
- Compassionate nature with strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients.
- Experience or training in dementia care is highly desirable.
- A valid driver's license may be required depending on client needs.
