What are the responsibilities and job description for the Issue Analyst position at Home Office Careers?
Modern Woodmen of America is looking for a customer-focused individual with knowledge of life insurance products to be an Issue Analyst. In this role you would assist our members and field/sales force with the processing of new business, change and correction applications for a variety of life insurance products.

Responsibilities:
- Reviews application and corresponding documents to determine if proper forms have been submitted and are completed properly.
- Enters necessary application information into the system.
- Applies payments and verifies proper accounting.
- Requests additional information as indicated by underwriting requirements.
- Works with other departments to process applications when necessary.
- Review medical information, lab work, and other documents.
- Approves, rates, or refers applications as determined by underwriting guidelines and departmental procedures. (Must be able to assess the overall case and make an appropriate decision)
- Assists Representatives and other department personnel with any procedural questions or questions on specific cases.
- Prepares certificate for mailing.
- Must be willing to learn mainframe screens, AMT Workflow system, and Accelerated Underwriting Workbench, Auto Assembly Viewer, MIB manual and Reinsurance Guide related to the underwriting process.
- Must be willing to learn certificate provisions, Modern Woodmen policies and procedures, state laws, and departmental procedures related to the underwriting process.

- Comfortable working with computers and data entry.
- Problem solving.
- Ability to work independently.

- Pay: The hourly pay for this position is $19.50. The specific rate will depend on the successful candidate’s qualifications and prior experience.
- Work Arrangements: This is a full-time on-site position: 37.5 hours per week (7.5 hours per day), Monday- Friday, with flexible start time between 7:00AM-9:00AM. On-site positions work at our Home Office in Rock Island, IL.
