What are the responsibilities and job description for the Roofing Sales position at Homestead Roofing Company?
This is a full-time outside sales role based in Ridgewood, NJ for a Roofing Sales representative. Territory will include most of North Jersey including Bergen, Passaic, Morris and Essex Counties. The Roofing Sales representative will be responsible for driving the sales of roofing products and services for roof repairs and new roof installations. Mostly incoming leads but will also be responsible for researching and identifying potential clients in the area, conducting sales presentations, negotiating contracts, and coordinating with the roofing installation teams.
Qualifications
- Roofing and exterior remodeling experience
- Proven sales experience, preferably in the roofing industry
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with clients
- Familiarity with CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to work in a goal-oriented environment with deadlines
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing or related field preferred
Responsibilities
In your capacity as Roofing Salesperson, you will be responsible for, but not limited to:
· Responding to incoming leads for new roofs and roof repair
· Generate leads through, among other things, networking, networking groups, trade meetings, local associations, online generation including LinkedIn and other social media.
· Meet with homeowners and property managers
· Assess roofing damage or repairs and new installations from the roof (must be comfortable with heights and climbing a ladder)
· Prepare estimates for residential and commercial roofing (when necessary)
· Explain estimates to homeowners and property managers
· Sell the Homestead Brand
· Manage your pipeline so that all customers are adequately informed where they stand in the process
· Close contracts with customers
· Follow-up with customers on a timely basis
· Manage projects while ongoing
· Ensure timely payment of deposits and full payment upon project completion
· Adhere to all safety protocols
· Attend ongoing product training as may be necessary

Compensation
This is a commission based position paid as a draw against commission. An experienced sales rep should expect to earn a minimum of $100,000 in the first year with significant upside from there. Currently our top salesperson will make upwards of $150,000 this year. Unlimited earning potential based on how hard you hustle.
