What are the responsibilities and job description for the House Monitor position at Hometown Recovery and Counseling?
This position works Friday and Saturday 8PM-8AM.
Position Qualifications:
- 18 Years of Age;
- High School Diploma or GED;
- Valid Driver’s License;
- Reliable transportation and current automobile insurance;
- Successful completion of all agency required background checks;
- Knowledge of applicable laws, codes and regulations;
- Microsoft Word Products and general computer applications;
- Ability to operate standard office equipment (i.e., printer, computer, etc.);
- Effective Communication Skills.
Job Duties:
- Provide supervision to clients;
- Provide transportation to clients as necessary to various appointments while complying with all applicable laws and safety requirements;
- Monitor and redirect clients as required in regards to chore completion and adherence to sober living house rules;
- Complete drug screenings on clients when necessary;
- Ensure unused bedding is laundered as necessary;
- Ensure medication audits are completed;
- Assist clients in adhering to treatment plans, such as setting up appointments, arranging for transportation to appointments, or providing support;
- Utilize the agency’s established standard operating procedure to comply with documentation requirements;
- Engage in supervision, consultation, and applicable educational opportunities to develop expertise in field of service;
- Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing;
- Share information and demonstrates ability to listen openly and empathetically to others;
- Work collaboratively with fellow employees and others to achieve identified goals and objectives;
- Contribute to a positive work environment by treating others with fairness and respect;
- Demonstrate the ability to pro-actively plan, work and proceed with a task with limited instruction; Willingly take on new responsibilities or help a co-worker complete a task;
- Support the relationship between the agency and the community by demonstrating respectful, courteous, and cooperative behavior when interacting with clients, visitors, and other employees;
