About the opportunity
Homeward Title is looking for a high-performing Funder to join our team to work on multi-state transactions. This person is responsible for providing an impeccable experience to our customers and agents as it relates to our Title & Escrow operation - while working closely with our Escrow Officers and Escrow Assistants. This role will report to our Head of Title & Escrow Operations and support two of our Escrow Officers.
Note: This is a temporary, full-time, three-month, hourly position. This role is an in-office position, based in Austin, TX 5 days a week. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
What you’ll do:
- Assisting with funding and post-closing responsibilities
- Reading contracts, commitments, and order in preparation for the closing
- Review signed documents for compliance with federal, state, and local law and company policies
- Communicating to the customers and Escrow Officers details relating to the closing
- High levels of accuracy, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize, multi-task, and focus on deadlines
- Providing an incredible customer experience by being informative, responsive, patient, and friendly in all interactions
What you’ll bring:
- 2 years of experience working on transactions in a post-closing capacity
- Knowledge of legal documents with the ability to analyze and evaluate documents as they relate to residential real estate closings
- Software experience with Qualia strongly desired. Experience with other title production software such as Softpro, Ramquest, Resware, LandTech, or similar software will also be considered.
- Experience with post-closing Title transactions in Texas
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Professional communication skills with clients
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills. Deadline-driven.
- Resilient team player - we are a start-up so the ability to roll with the punches and adapt to change is key
- Located in the Austin area or able to commute at least 3 days per week.
Compensation:
- $28 / HR
