We are seeking someone who will provide leadership to our Platform Center of
Excellence team who brings the right experience planning and executing projects
for Electronic Solutions within Honeywell Aerospace.
Help us create the world’s most advanced systems with your embedded processing and computer architecture skills for our global space-based electronics for human based or satellite systems, sensors and navigation systems for missiles and interceptors, and a range of aviation safety, cockpit, engine control, and connectivity products and services.
This specific initial assignment will focus planning and execution of our large team developing the next generation Honeywell avionics suite, for a variety of commercial customers. Be the leader of a team assessing and driving achievement of program specific performance for multiple parallel projects, working closely with Technical Managers, Project Engineers from other groups, and the Program Managers. You will partner with the technical resource managers, assist with staffing, and be the primary focal for program cost, schedule, and technical issue coordination and escalation. You will lead prioritization of work packages, design goals and objectives, and drive overall program performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Project planning, status, execution, and escalation with Senior PM and Engineering leadership
- Drive and improve project engineering practices for Hardware & Software groups
- Drive clear communications between Technical leaders
- Process champion: project-specific operating systems and larger reuse and multi-project considerations
- Optimize the team through procedural improvements and automations
- Driving HW/SW quotation estimate efforts and approvals
- Facilitating various teams to solutions and agreement
- Mentoring junior engineers
