This position is for an Electrical Engineering Chief with a focus on Processors and Digital Design technology. In this role, you will be recognized as the leading authority on Digital Design, Processors and Computing Architectures, both internally and externally to Honeywell. You will assist and manage various teams on differentiated technology roadmap development, leading advanced and strategic products and technologies, governing expert oversight on risk identification and mitigation. You will be a focal point on technical knowledge which you will share with the team and will use to develop strong customer connections. You will promote Honeywell as a world technology leader by external engagements on customer’s symposia, national and international technical conferences, and Universities across the globe.
Key Responsibilities
• Design Authority (final accountability) for programs/products within the scope of the Processor and Digital electrical design domain
• Provide technical oversight/approval in internal and external digital PBA Design Reviews and ensure that appropriate Design Reviews are conducted
• Drive product plans, process infrastructure, architectures and technical strategies for the Processor and Digital Design domain using industry trends, customer feedback/needs and competitive intelligence data
• Develop Processor and Digital technology and tool roadmaps that are aligned with business needs, product life cycles and and re-use strategies
• Review and approve Processor and Digital Design technical concepts and architectures for new proposals ensuring they comply with customer and business requirements and align with internal technology and re-use strategies
• Oversee technical aspects of proposals to ensure scope is well-defined, risks and mitigations are identified, technical basis is well-defined, and estimates are reasonable
• Support and approve phase gate reviews for new development programs, ensuring appropriate plans are in place to meet key requirements, including yield, cost, and quality
• Support qualification and certification activities, including review and approval of required documentation
• Support resolution of systemic or critical in-service and production issues, including approval of Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA)
• Act as a technical spokesperson within Honeywell and with customers
• Act as a technical focal point with regulatory authorities
• Provide training and mentoring to build capability and effectiveness of the electrical engineering team. Ensure best practices are captured and lessons learned are shared.
