Job Title: Dishwasher/Line Prep
Job Summary:
As a Dishwasher/Line Prep, you play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the kitchen. Key Responsibilities:
- Dishwashing:
- Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, and pans using industrial dishwashing equipment or by hand as necessary.
- Ensure all items are thoroughly cleaned, sanitized, and properly stored.
- Empty trash receptacles regularly and maintain cleanliness in dishwashing area.
- Kitchen Cleaning:
- Keep kitchen and surrounding areas clean and organized at all times.
- Sweep and mop floors, wipe down countertops, and sanitize surfaces as needed.
- Assist in cleaning kitchen equipment and appliances according to established protocols.
- Food Preparation:
- Assist chefs and cooks in basic food preparation tasks such as chopping vegetables, portioning ingredients, and assembling dishes.
- Follow recipes, portion control guidelines, and food safety standards.
- Label and store prepared food items appropriately to ensure freshness and prevent cross-contamination.
- Organization and Stock Management:
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and notify management when supplies need to be replenished.
- Assist in receiving and storing food deliveries in designated areas.
- Monitor stock levels of kitchen supplies and communicate any shortages or discrepancies to the appropriate personnel.
- Compliance and Safety:
- Adhere to all food safety and sanitation regulations, including HACCP guidelines.
- Follow proper handling and storage procedures for food and cleaning chemicals.
- Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and adhere to safety protocols to prevent accidents and injuries.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a similar role preferred but not required.
