What are the responsibilities and job description for the Operations Manager position at Hoover Energy Services?

The Operations Manager must be team oriented, proactive, and goal driven. This position must be able to delegate work to employees, track progress and provide constructive feedback throughout projects and on time sensitive routine work and serve as a link between subordinates and upper management. Works Management as well as customers to make sure their needs are met on time and to their expectations. Serve as a liaison between customers and Hoover Energy Services LLC. Ensure employees adhere to company Core Values. (Safety, Integrity, Innovation, and Service) Conduct performance reviews, motivate team members and create strategies to boost productivity. Will use independence and judgment to recognize and resolve problems within established policies and procedures and is accountable for the quality, timeliness and accuracy of own work and the work of assigned team members.
Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary contact for current and new customers across the company.
  • Serve as the primary contact to address customer issues, and initiate a corrective action report with subsequent follow-up action items;
  • Interview, hire, train, and manage Supervisors as well as employees;
  • Manage vehicles and equipment for assigned technicians with the assistance of the Department Supervisors.
  • Insure parts are being billed out per work performed;
  • Ensure that assigned service center, equipment, and vehicles are consistently clean based on Company Expectations.
  • Meet regularly with Hoover customers to ensure that Hoover as a company meets and exceeds customer expectations and adjust as necessary;
  • Required to maintain the work is being completed on time as well as completed proficiently and correctly;
  • Must be able to work a flexible work schedule, i.e., eight (8) to sixteen (16) hours depending on job services requirements and customer needs. These hours can be extended into weekends and/or holidays;
  • Must maintain and account for assigned Hoover property. This includes tools, credit cards, company vehicle, cell phone, laptop, calibration equipment, and parts;
  • Required to properly prepare all necessary paperwork and documentation of service performed on a timely basis and submit same to proper office personnel for processing;
  • Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Two (2) to four (4) years of previous work experience required and/or the combination of equivalent work experience and educational/technical training in a related field;
  • Electrical and/or mechanical experience/knowledge preferred;
  • Basic personal computer skills including electronic mail, word processing, spreadsheets, graphics, etc.;
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos;
  • Ability to write simple correspondence;
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients and other employees of the organization;
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals;
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs;
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form;
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations;
  • Must be able to safely operate company vehicles.
Education:
High school diploma or GED required; Bachelors Degree preferred.
Relocation:
This position is not eligible for relocation.
Travel Requirements:
This position does require some travel.
Work Schedule:
  • This position will work hours, Monday-Friday 7-5 Arteisa, NM Office. This position is subject to after-hours and weekend availability to meet deadlines.
