What are the responsibilities and job description for the Part-Time Bookkeeper position at Hope 7 Community Center?
Hope 7 Community Center is looking for an experienced part time bookkeeper. Hours are flexible, Monday - Friday, between 9:30-5pm, for 10-15 hours per week.
Required Qualifications: AA in accounting or business and/or 3 years related work experience, Quickbooks – 2 years (preferred), bookkeeping – 2 years (preferred), knowledge of Microsoft Office, and a valid NYS driver’s license with reliable vehicle.
Responsibilities will include: general ledger postings, reconciliation of accounts receivable and accounts payable, bill payments, invoicing, monthly statements, bank deposits, petty cash, maintain accurate files & records and contact vendors on an as needed basis.
Additional Requirements: must be detail-oriented, have excellent verbal and written communication skills, experience working in a 501C3 is preferred, attend Hope 7 Board of Director’s meetings as needed, and carry out other duties relating to the position as deemed necessary.
