What are the responsibilities and job description for the Director of Youth Ministries position at Hope Church South Haven?
Hope Church in South Haven is looking for a Director of Youth Ministries. We seek a person with enthusiasm, energy, a love of people and a love for Christ. Duties would include the administration of our weekly youth programs, creation of spiritual growth and evangelism opportunities for students and staff, and the formation of strong relationships. Hope Church looks to minister not only to their present congregation, but also to the community of South Haven and beyond.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
TEACHING AND MODELING
- Plans and delivers engaging, life-transforming youth ministry activities in partnership with program volunteers.
- Ensures that guidance and teaching are biblical and relevant.
- Works closely with the Director of Children’s Ministries to make available regular learning opportunities for children and youth to grow in their knowledge of the Word and to deepen their faith.
LEADERSHIP
- Trains volunteers to effectively guide students in their knowledge of the Word and their personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
OUTREACH AND COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT
- Actively participates in the life and events of our youth.
- Cooperates with local churches, missions and faith-based organizations to share Christ’s love and light.
- Leads youth in local, regional and global outreach.
- Represents Hope Church in the community .
QUALIFICATIONS
- Previous involvement in Youth Ministry
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Coursework in job-related areas, such as child development, education, psychology, sociology, and/or ministry preferred.
- Demonstrates a working knowledge of the Bible, Hope Church’s Statement of Faith, and the creeds and confessions of the Alliance of Reformed Churches.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $30,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
