What are the responsibilities and job description for the Manager of Supportive Services position at Hope & Healing Survivor Resource Center?

This position will work Tuesday through Saturday, 10 am to 6 pm.

Position Summary

The Manager of Supportive Services is responsible for overseeing the provision of case management and supportive services to survivors of domestic violence. This position plays a vital role in ensuring that survivors receive holistic care and assistance and provides supervision of staff to ensure high quality service delivery.

Required Education, Experience and Qualifications

  • Four-year degree in social work, counseling, criminal justice or related field required or at least 5 years of experience in related field.
  • 1 years of supervisory experience required.
  • Victim Advocacy experience preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to connect with individuals from diverse backgrounds
  • Empathy, compassion, and active listening skills are essential
  • Knowledge of trauma informed-care and cultural humility
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities
  • Proficiency in maintaining confidentiality and respecting boundaries
  • Maintain valid Ohio driver’s license and ability to meet agency requirements for driving insurability.
  • Must be able to meet agency requirements for criminal background check (Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigations and Federal Bureau of Investigations).

Role and Responsibilities

Supervision and Team Leadership:

  • Providessupervision and leadership to a team of case managers, Family Services Advocates, and volunteers/interns
  • Set performance expectations, conduct regular evaluations, and maintains regular supervision meetings to provide guidance and support to ensure the highest level of service to survivors
  • Works collaboratively with shelter management team to ensure adequate staff coverage, as well as the overall safety and well-being of the shelter and its residents
  • Responsible for quality improvement activities and the fidelity of services
  • Assists with training new staff, interns, and volunteers across the agency

Programming

  • Works in collaboration with shelter staff to create and implement programming for residents to support self-sufficiency and emotional well-being
  • Oversees the creation and implementation of Family Services programming which includes social, cultural, recreational and academic activities for children and their families in shelter
  • Conducts on-going evaluation of case management and Family Services programming to ensure high-quality service delivery
  • Develop and implement new initiatives to enhance support and empowerment for survivors and their children

Case Management Services:

  • Maintains an individual caseload of clients to provide trauma-informed and culturally responsive case management services, referral information, and follow-up care to survivors of intimate partner violence, sexual violence, and human trafficking
  • Develop and implement individualized service plans for survivors, including safety planning, counseling, legal advocacy, and access to resources.
  • Maintains accurate client records in compliance with agency procedures
  • Provides crisis intervention, emotional support, safety planning, and other resources as needed

Collaboration and Partnerships:

  • Collaborate with community organizations, schools, law enforcement, legal services, and healthcare providers to facilitate comprehensive care for survivors and their children
  • Establish and maintain partnerships that enhance the shelter's ability to meet the diverse needs of survivors and their children

Administrative Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate records of survivor interactions, service delivery, and program outcomes
  • Participates in development of policies and procedures in collaboration with supervisor
  • Assists with preparation of programmatic reports and statistical information as assigned by supervisor
  • Other duties as assigned

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Adheres to Service Excellence standards at all times
  • Represent Hope & Healing agencies, Battered Women’s Shelter and Rape Crisis Center, by participating in community activities, coalitions and taskforce groups as requested or assigned by supervisor.
  • Complies with agency policies and procedures, federal and state requirements, and educational/certification/registry requirements.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • Participates in supervisor on-call rotation
  • Provides supervision to case managers and Family Services Advocates

· Work environment: This position will be in a facility with victims of domestic violence or sexual assault. In addition to interaction with the survivors, the employee may have interactions with families of these individuals, the assailants and law enforcement.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

  • Full-time; 40-Hours, Tuesday to Saturday 10a-6p
  • Evenings, weekend, and holiday availability
  • On-call rotation
