We are currently searching for a Director of Business Development to join our team. The Director of Business Development will provide oversight to Hope Health Care programs in our Dallas market and will provide mentoring and guidance to the Care Liaison team (sales team) while holding those team members to accountability for sales goals. Your team’s goal will always be to develop relationships with doctors, managed care organizations, hospitals, nursing homes, assisted living communities and other healthcare providers in HOPE’s service to increase our ability to touch more lives with our unique care approach.
Primary functions of this role include:
- Lead, direct, motivate and hold to accountability the business development staff within their territories and accounts
- Recruit, hire and coach business development staff within the specific geographic areas and territories
- Assist direct reports in developing project plans, defining roles and responsibilities and scope of work within the territories
- Develop and oversee any specialty programs with key partners within the service area
- Maintain understanding of referral patterns in the territories and identify new opportunities for growth
- Must have a keen ability to effectively communicate plans and actions to sales and clinical teams
- Recruit qualified Physicians to support programs and lead IDTs within the service areas
- Meet with key clients, assisting Business Development staff with developing and cultivating relationships within the specified geographic area
- Ensure working knowledge of active census for all client relationships
- Must have, or show a willingness to become aware of, and can teach knowledge and understanding of regulations, industry trends, current practices, and new market developments
- Other duties based on needs of organization
Education:
- Bachelor's Degree (Required)
Experience:
- Must have a track record of growing and scaling successful sales organizations. Hospice or Healthcare leadership: 2-5 years (Required)
