The Project Manager is responsible for planning, organizing and directing commercial relocation and installation of modular furniture projects.
Responsibilities:
- Cultivate a strong relationship with vendors, branches, Commercial Services Team, customers and prospects.
- Creates plans, including setting target dates and adhering to deadlines. Must be extremely organized and maintain project schedules.
- Project amounts of material and labor needed for the project.
- Prepares cost estimates for each project.
- Assigns projects and tasks to the best positioned vendor and/or employee to ensure all projects are completed successfully and under budget.
- Serves as a point of contact for client and internal team to manage relocation and installation.
- Communicates with Executives and peers throughout the project to ensure all parties are current on the schedule and costs.
- Adjust labor and cost schedules on projects as needed for completion.
- Handles and resolves customer complaints regarding services.
- Performs quality control throughout project, to ensure high standards for the client on relocation and installation of modular furniture.
- Ensures installers are enforcing work and safety policies.
- Responsible for surveying projects and providing quotes to potential customers. Follows-up to ensure company gains the business deal.
- Creates billing packets to submit for revenue support on accounts.
- Provides and manages accounts receivable duties when necessary, including contacting clients with outstanding balances to ensure the fees are collected.
- Maintain and contribute to a safe work environment by adhering to policies and procedures as outlined in the Company Safety Program.
- Perform any other task or assignment as deemed necessary by the organization.
Qualifications
Education and/or Experience:
- 2 years experience in similar roles preferred
- Bachelors degree in related field or equivalent experience.
- Must be able to perform multiple tasks at all times while controlling time management
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time in all, including in varying weather conditions.
- Moving and/or furniture installation experience a plus
- Ability to work well in time-sensitive situations.
- Proven ability to apply attention to detail, role-related accuracy and task follow-through.
- Proficient using MS Excel, Word, Power Point, and other Microsoft Office products.
- Positive, proactive, and professional demeanor.
- The ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks in a timely manner.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business principals, financial statements, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers or regulators.
