What are the responsibilities and job description for the Human Resources Service Center Representative I position at Horace Mann?
This is an entry level position and it is in the office (no remote work).
The Human Resources Service Center Representative will provide Tier 1 support via telephone, email or chat for some HR-related matters, including but not limited to; application of Horace Mann programs (wellness reimbursement, service anniversary/retirement awards and corporate flower program), initiate term letters and exit interview surveys with the ability to triage all other inquiries to the appropriate resources, including HRSC Rep II, Ill and Leave Specialist.
- Provide navigational instructions to employees/managers/COE's on My HR Self-Service portal
- Maintain workforce management system; complete new hire/term set-up, manager/department accuracy, base hours, reporting, time reporting reminders
- Respond to legal and employee requests for employee files
- Prepare documentation for employee file imaging and storage
- Entry level position β data entry or call center experience preferred
- Experience having access to, working with, and maintaining confidential/sensitive information.
- Ability to follow strict standard operating procedures, and to recognize when a situation requires escalation
Job Requirements:
- Associates Degree in Human Resources or related field or equivalent years of experience.
