Maintenance Specialist

Rate Range: $14.25 an hour plus $1.00 for every 3 years’ experience, maxing at 12 years credit.
Duties:
- Provide maintenance and janitorial support to child care centers and other Horizon facilities and property.
- Primarily work as an individual or part of a maintenance crew for special projects.
This position reports to the Business Manager and works at multiple locations, sometimes in same day. - Limited training will be provided.
Location: Horizon Child Care Centers and Property in Cleveland, Elyria, Lorain or North Olmsted
Hours: 8:00 to 4:30pm Monday through Friday
Requirements:
- Minimum Age Requirements 21 yrs
- High School Diploma or GED
- Clean Background Check for working at an ODJFS Child Care Facility
- Drug Free
- Driver’s license with 4 points or less
- Able to lift and carry 40 lbs.
- Basic plumbing, electric, assembly and carpentry skills
- Ability to operate and maintain basic landscaping equipment
- Ability to operate and maintain basic cleaning tools and equipment, such as commercial vacuums and floor scrubber
- Prefer 3 years of documented experience in similar job or Veteran
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma with experience in maintenance/janitorial experiences
- Willingness to update job knowledge with required OSHA and ODJFS Licensing Rules in industry trends
