Job Description:
We are seeking an Analyst to join our Appraisal, Assessment, and Valuation team. We offer detailed commercial property appraisals across various asset classes to help lenders, investors, and property owners make informed real estate decisions. In addition to asset-specific appraisals, we provide in-depth market studies to help our clients understand market, regional, national, and economic trends. We offer feasibility studies for investors to help our clients understand the likelihood of a proposed project’s success in various aspects, including ROI and cash flow analysis, risk assessments, community reaction, and environmental impact. This expertise across several commercial real estate services enables our MAI designated appraisers to provide comprehensive valuation services for individual properties or portfolios of all sizes.
Responsibilities Include:
- Prepare and package written property-level financials, demographics, valuations, and market value reports with certified appraiser oversight.
- Evaluate and articulate local, regional, and macroeconomic trends
- Abstract leases from various asset classes
- Work with and combine data from multiple data sources
- Analyze lease and sales comparables
- Determine the highest and best use and relevant valuation methods for various assets
- Work cross-functionally with team members to create accurate and timely appraisals
- Okay with localized travel to take photos of the subject property and comparable properties
Desired Experience:
- Recent graduation with a bachelor’s degree preferred
- Excellent verbal communication and writing skills
- Basic understanding of commercial real estate and valuation of assets
- 0-2 years of commercial property valuation, research, or analyst roles
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and other third-party CRE tools such as CoStar preferred
- Completed or in-progress Certified-General Appraisal license
- Teachable and adaptable; able to work on multiple projects at once
- Must be authorized to work in the US
