Job Description The Opportunity: The Registered Dietitian is the nutrition professional that develops and oversees the implementation of nutrition interventions/prescriptions for patients nutrition diagnosis. Shift: PRN The Work: Demonstrates Proficiency in Standards of Practice (Nutrition Assessment, Nutrition Diagnosis, Nutrition Intervention/Plan of Care and Nutrition Monitoring and Evaluation. Demonstrates Proficiency in Standards of Professional Performance (Quality In Practice, Competency/Accountability, Provisions of Services, Application of Research, Communication and Applications of Knowledge and Utilization and Management of Resources). Uses Nutrition Care Process (NCP) ADIME-assessment, diagnosis, intervention, monitoring and evaluation for patient's nutritional assessment Perform Nutrition Focused Physical Exam (NFPE) and documenting clinical criteria to demonstrate patients with malnutrition Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team regarding patients nutrition plan of care Complete yearly department competency and other performance improvement projects as assigned. Uses Evidence Based Practice in patient care Serve as a preceptor to dietetic interns Employee has 90 days from hire to get their secondary state license.
