What are the responsibilities and job description for the Hospice Director of Nursing (DON) position at Hospice Care Team?
Hospice Care Team is now hiring a DON for our thriving Beaumont office! The DON will have the overall responsibility of delivering comprehensive patient care to all patients and overseeing the overall direction of hospice services.
Responsibilities:
- Maintains the day-to-day functioning of the Agency.
- Coordinates, observes, and evaluates comprehensive patient care provided by nursing.
- Responsible for establishing standards of care to comply with federal and state regulations and guidelines.
- Establishes, implements and evaluates goals and objectives for hospice services that meet and promote the standards of quality and contribute to the total organization and philosophy.
- Ensures compliance with all local, state and federal laws regarding licensure and certification of organization personnel and, maintains compliance to the Joint Commission Home Care standards.
Qualifications:
- Current, unrestricted RN license in Texas.
- Previous Hospice and/or Home Health experience
- Knowledge of regulatory agency requirements
