What are the responsibilities and job description for the Spiritual Care Advisor position at Hospice of Michigan?
*Position can be based out of Gaylord or Charlevoix areas*
The Spiritual Care Advisor, in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team (IDT), provides and facilitates the spiritual care and counsel of patients and families/caregivers.
Required Qualifications:
- Master's Degree in Divinity, Theology, Spirituality or related field required.
- Demonstrates knowledge and experience in the area of coping with terminal illness, grief and/or bereavement care in the pastoral/spiritual realm.
- Counseling and a minimum of one Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) experience strongly preferred.
- Previous hospice experience strongly preferred.
- Must be able to cope with caregiver emotional stress, cultural diversity and be non-judgmental of individual life-styles.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently while functioning as part of a cooperative and coordinated team.
- Ability to use technology (hardware and software) Hospice of Michigan requires clinicians to use in their practice such as including computer, cell phone, printer, pager, fax machine, copiers, etc. and MISYS software (data entry for documentation, uploading and downloading).
- Must possess and demonstrate tact, diplomacy and discretion in dealing with confidential information.
- Accepts, affirms and respects authentically expressed diverse belief systems and spiritual practices and preferences.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $24.00 - $25.00 per hour
