Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Hospice Registered Nurse to join our Inpatient unit team. In this role, you will provide high-quality nursing care to patients with terminal illnesses, ensuring comfort and dignity in their final days in our 9 bed inpatient unit located in Madeira, Ohio. You will work closely with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams to deliver holistic care tailored to individual needs. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills, empathy, and a commitment to enhancing the quality of life for patients facing life-limiting conditions.
Duties
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' physical and emotional needs.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Monitor patient conditions and provide diagnostic evaluations to ensure optimal care.
- Educate patients and families about end-of-life care options, symptom management, and available resources.
- Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Provide support for families during the grieving process and facilitate discussions about advance directives.
Experience
- A valid RN nursing license is required; experience in hospice or palliative care is preferred.
- 1 year RN experience is required.
