About the Role

We are seeking a licensed Dentist with a passion for quality care to provide comprehensive dental services within a secure, structured institutional setting. You will be responsible for all aspects of dental care, including treatment planning, preventative education, and emergency response.

This is a full-time, on-site role offering a unique opportunity to serve a vulnerable population while working in a collaborative and supportive medical environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct dental examinations; diagnose and treat oral conditions.
• Perform extractions, fillings, cleanings, dentures, and root canals.
• Develop and manage individualized treatment plans.
• Educate residents on dental health and disease prevention.
• Maintain strict infection control and sanitation procedures.
• Supervise, train, and evaluate subordinate dental staff.
• Coordinate care with other health professionals and external dental providers.
• Maintain dental equipment, supplies, inventory, and budget input.
• Ensure accurate, timely documentation and dental recordkeeping.
• Maintain strict confidentiality and compliance with regulations and protocols.
• Participate in emergency medical response as required.
• Attend continuing education or relevant trainings as necessary.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of dentistry.
• Active Dentist license in the state of Kansas (or ability to obtain).
• Minimum of 1 year of professional dental experience preferred.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Valid driver's license preferred (may be required by contract).
• Comfortable working in a secure environment with institutionalized patients.
• Able to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Work Environment

This position is within a secure correctional facility. Candidates must be comfortable providing care in a correctional or institutional environment while demonstrating professionalism, compassion, and sound judgment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $150,000.00 - $200,000.00 per year
