About the Role
We are seeking a licensed Dentist with a passion for quality care to provide comprehensive dental services within a secure, structured institutional setting. You will be responsible for all aspects of dental care, including treatment planning, preventative education, and emergency response.
This is a full-time, on-site role offering a unique opportunity to serve a vulnerable population while working in a collaborative and supportive medical environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct dental examinations; diagnose and treat oral conditions.
- Perform extractions, fillings, cleanings, dentures, and root canals.
- Develop and manage individualized treatment plans.
- Educate residents on dental health and disease prevention.
- Maintain strict infection control and sanitation procedures.
- Supervise, train, and evaluate subordinate dental staff.
- Coordinate care with other health professionals and external dental providers.
- Maintain dental equipment, supplies, inventory, and budget input.
- Ensure accurate, timely documentation and dental recordkeeping.
- Maintain strict confidentiality and compliance with regulations and protocols.
- Participate in emergency medical response as required.
- Attend continuing education or relevant trainings as necessary.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of dentistry.
- Active Dentist license in the state of Kansas (or ability to obtain).
- Minimum of 1 year of professional dental experience preferred.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Valid driver's license preferred (may be required by contract).
- Comfortable working in a secure environment with institutionalized patients.
- Able to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Work Environment
This position is within a secure correctional facility. Candidates must be comfortable providing care in a correctional or institutional environment while demonstrating professionalism, compassion, and sound judgment.

Pay: $150,000.00 - $200,000.00 per year
