Job Summary:
Valet team members ensure the safe and efficient parking of vehicles while providing a memorable guest experience. You will be responsible for responding quickly to requests while maintaining a high level of customer service, exceeding guests' expectations. You will work closely with fellow team members, Shift Supervisor and Front Office Manager to ensure that quality and safety standards are always met.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Parking vehicles for guests of the hotel and Chandlers restaurant.
- Meet and greet all guests upon arrival; open guest vehicle doors, assist with unloading luggage and escort incoming hotel guests to rooms when requested.
- Inspect vehicle for preexisting damage and record information. Correctly note the guest’s name, make and model, of each vehicle.
- Park guest cars in designated spaces, ensuring safe and appropriate operation of guest vehicles.
- Quickly retrieve vehicles for waiting guests; assist guests with loading luggage or personal items when necessary.
- Deliver messages, packages, and laundry to guestrooms
- Respond to guest inquiries in a courteous manner, promoting services of hotel and restaurant, ability to give directions to nearest highway, destination, and local attractions.
- Able to work efficiently in high stress/ high volume environment, direct traffic and manage the flow of the driveway appropriately.
- Immediately report any incidents or claims to management and/or Shift Lead.
- Must have a welcoming, positive attitude and ability to always communicate professionally with guests and teammates.
- Additional responsibilities and duties as assigned.
Requirements
• Professional interactive training for position is provided.
• Minimum age of 19 years old and valid drivers’ license required.
• Clean driving record with no major traffic violations or accidents.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with guests and team members effectively.
• Ability to operate vehicles safely and confidently, even in adverse weather conditions.
• Ability to lift and handle items weighing up to 50lbs frequently.
• Punctuality and reliability in adhering to schedules and routes.
• Knowledge of basic vehicle operation and troubleshooting minor issues. Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles (stick shift), preferred.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, depending on the operations schedule.
• Maintains a professional, neat, and well-groomed appearance adhering to Block 22, LLC’s appearance standards.
