Overview

Shreem Capital is thrilled to announce an exciting leadership opportunity at one of San Antonio’s newest and most unique full-service lifestyle hotels. Hotel Aztec, a Marriott Tribute Portfolio Hotel located on the iconic San Antonio Riverwalk, is seeking a dynamic and visionary General Manager to lead its team and shape unforgettable guest experiences in one of Texas’ most vibrant destinations. Hotel Aztec blends historic charm, bold design, and modern luxury with the curated individuality of the Tribute Portfolio. As General Manager, you’ll take the reins of daily operations, business strategy, team leadership, and guest satisfaction—all while championing the spirit of independent hospitality backed by the power of the Marriott brand.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership & Culture

• Provide hands-on, strategic leadership across all departments, including Front Office, Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, Engineering, and Sales & Marketing
• Foster a culture of personalized service, creativity, and operational excellence in alignment with the Tribute brand and local culture
• Inspire, coach, and develop a diverse and high-performing team focused on service and hospitality innovation

Financial & Operational Strategy

• Oversee the hotel’s financial performance, including revenue management, forecasting, budgeting, and cost controls
• Drive profitability while maintaining an uncompromising commitment to guest experience
• Analyze operational metrics to identify growth opportunities and implement process improvements

Guest Experience & Brand Integrity

• Champion the delivery of exceptional and authentic guest experiences that reflect the Hotel Aztec’s character and Marriott standards
• Monitor guest feedback and service scores, ensuring timely resolution and proactive enhancement strategies
• Collaborate with Marriott to maintain brand alignment, standards compliance, and loyalty engagement (Bonvoy)

Sales, Marketing & Community Engagement

• Partner with the sales and marketing team to position Hotel Aztec as a premier River Walk destination for leisure, business, and group travel
• Cultivate local partnerships and represent the hotel in the community to boost visibility and build lasting relationships
• Leverage Marriott’s marketing channels and tools while celebrating the property’s unique identity

Project & Asset Management

• Support ongoing improvements, capital projects, and property enhancements to elevate guest satisfaction and asset value
• Ensure maintenance and housekeeping standards are consistent with a premium lifestyle hotel

Qualifications:

• 5 years of experience as a General Manager or senior leader at a full-service lifestyle or boutique hotel
• Marriott brand experience required; Tribute Portfolio or similar lifestyle/luxury experience strongly preferred
• Strong business acumen with a proven record of financial and operational success
• Exceptional leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, guest-centric environment
• Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related field preferred
