POSITION OBJECTIVE
The Human Resources Manager reports to the Director of Human Resources. This role coordinates Human Resources policies and programs with emphasis on benefits, recruiting, compensation and employee retention, while ensuring that the organization complies with applicable laws and regulations. This position works closely with the Director in developing, implementing, and evaluating policies, programs, functions and activities.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Supervises the Talent & Development Specialist. Oversees and works in tandem with the TD Specialist in all recruiting and onboarding tasks.- Maintains really, LinkedIn, HCareers accounts and updates.
- Manages recruiting for managerial positions.
- Manages competitive wage rates, comparisons data for all positions.
- Ensures open positions are kept to a minimum and retention is maximized.
- Oversees Hotel Orientation.
- Supports Salamander University goals and staff completion of on-line sessions.
- Manages Workers Compensation claims.
- Maintains annual review compliancy with managers and their Service Professionals, including 90 day performance reviews.
- Maintains unemployment claims.
- Develop, prepare, generate, and analyze ongoing special reports through the HRIS-ADP systems pertaining to employee personnel information and data, including but not limited to issues such as benefits costs, staffing levels, turnover, recruitment and compensation.
- Maintain and expand knowledge and understanding of existing and proposed federal and state laws/regulations affecting human resources management. Identify trends that influence organizational objectives and/or operational resources.
- Participate in the investigation and resolution of ongoing employee relations challenges, anticipate problems, develop, recommend and initiate appropriate steps of action.
- Attends division weekly meetings.
- Drives Predictive Index Program.
- Supports Recognition Programs, including responsibility for the Manager of the Quarter program.
- Manages Recruiting budget within HR Division.
- Follow and support Company Vision, Mission Statement and Core Values.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
A Bachelor’s Degree or Human Resources related equivalent certification.- SHRM certification a plus.
- Minimum of 4 years in Human Resources.
- Must have hospitality experience.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
Ability to promote diversity.- General knowledge of the principles and practices of HR administration.
- Knowledge of sound techniques in all aspects of HR management.
- Knowledge of the organizations and operations of administrative programs.
- Ability to present facts and recommendations effectively in oral and written form.
- Ability to be creative and adapt new ideas to meet the needs of the Human Resources Department and hotel.

Salary : $60,700 - $76,900
