SUMMARY
Able to lead and train engineering and security staff in all technical and non-technical Hotel repairs and maintenance.
Able to troubleshoot and repair all hotel systems including all H.V.A.C&R systems, Laundry equipment, Kitchen equipment, Fire Sprinkler, Water and Wastewater systems, carpentry, tile, plumbing, painting and minor automotive repairs.
Completion of all assigned tasks in a safe and timely manner.
Maintaining a safe and clean working environment.
Supervise Facilities staff when necessary and as directed by the Director of Facilities.
Lead facilities crew through projects, from assignment to completion.
Assume responsibilities of the Director of Facilities in their absence.
Duties also include emergency on call response and guidance.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Maintain Hotel standards and detail on all projects
Work with the Facilities Coordinator to order parts, supplies and equipment to complete projects.
Perform and complete regular work duties as assigned by the Director of Facilities.
Train Facilities staff in proper repair and maintenance techniques.
Technical electrical motor troubleshooting and/or repair.
H.V.A.C. and refrigeration troubleshooting and/or repair.
Technical plumbing troubleshooting and/or repair.
Carpentry.
Organization of tools and parts.
Safely filling propane tanks.
Door lock repairs.
Leave all work in a safe and clean condition.
Use of all power tools safely, including pressure washers and compressors.
Gas fired equipment repair.
Manage response to guest requests within fifteen minutes of notification.
Respond to all emergency or life threatening situations.
Follow established safety procedures.
Log and communicate all essential information in Facilities end of day logs.
Move various objects for relocation and/or access.
Assist other maintenance personnel with their job functions.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Maintain complete knowledge of the hotel fire system, water system, sewage system, and irrigation system.
Maintain employee housing units to the same standards as the hotel.
Perform other duties as directed, developed or assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required
Minimum of 3-4 year experience in related fields.
Must be able to operate all Hotel systems and associated equipment
Need to be familiar with associated vendors and able to identify replacement parts, materials, and necessary tools
Ability to take action and make decisions whenever necessary as directed by the Director of Facilities.
Minimum of three years hands on experience with electrical motors, H.V.A.C. Systems, and refrigeration systems. Must be familiar with troubleshooting and repair
Experience with power tool use and safety.
Able to do basic arithmetic.
Ability to follow verbal instruction.
Ability to read and follow directions on warning labels.
Ability to read and follow technical instructions on assembly of mechanical equipment and furniture.
Ability to provide legible written communication.
Ability to communicate in English with guests, co-workers, and management to their understanding.
High school diploma or equivalent, Technical school desired.
Valid Colorado driver’s license and clean motor vehicle record.
Desirable
Ability to communicate in a second language, preferably Spanish.
Apprenticeship as electrician or H.V.A.C. technician.
Previous hotel experience.
Salary rate: $72,500
