```Duties:```
- Provide individual and group counseling sessions to clients struggling with substance abuse
- Conduct diagnostic evaluations to assess clients' needs and develop treatment plans
- Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions such as cognitive behavioral therapy
- Assist clients in developing coping skills and relapse prevention strategies
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for clients
- Maintain accurate and confidential medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Provide crisis intervention and support to clients in emergency situations
- Offer case management services to help clients access necessary resources and support systems
```Qualifications:```
- Valid certification or license as a Substance Abuse Counselor (e.g., CCAPP, CAADE or CADTP)
- Knowledge of diagnostic evaluation tools such as the ICD-9
- Experience in counseling is preferred
- Strong understanding of clinical counseling techniques and theories
- Ability to effectively communicate and build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Proficient in medical documentation and record keeping
